About us

The Delta Centre was established in 2002 by Michelle Bihary. She was joined by an experienced team of independent practitioners. Together they created a strong professional community, who work collaboratively and are informed by a range of sound clinical orientations. All members of the team have a solid commitment to the highest standards of clinical and professional practice. Michelle has now left the Delta Centre to focus purely on her training and facilitation practice. She has left the Delta Centre in the very capable hands of Naomi Kalman and Janet Gluch.

Personal and professional integrity, confidentiality and recognising the human to human, soul to soul aspect of therapy are core values of The Delta Centre.

Our vision includes a commitment to the promotion of personal and community well-being.  The Delta sign symbolises our commitment to assisting the process of change and making a difference.

The Delta Centre understands that everyone is different. Each client brings their own unique set of goals. We see people of all ages and from all walks of life - but all with a common interest in making a difference in their lives.

Some of the issues that bring people for psychotherapy and counselling include:

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship and family issues

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Loss and grief

  • Stress Dependency and substance use

  • Trauma

  • Eating Disorders-Body image issues

  • Chronic mental health issues

Each person will benefit from a different type of approach. For those unclear about which practitioner to see in our centre, our intake system may be of help.
