PROFESSIONAL RESILIENCE FOR PROFESSIONALS

Latest Workshop Dates for 2010: Wednesday 9 June

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGED TO 9TH JUNE

Do you and your colleagues feel burnt out, at times?

Do you find that your commitment to your professional role, takes its toll on your personal wellbeing?

If so, you may benefit from the popular Professional Resilience™ program.

Developed by Michelle Bihary, this program specifically is designed for professionals who want to protect their wellbeing from the demands of their professional roles and the stresses of organisational life; enabling them to stay energised and passionate. Developing resilience and enhancing emotional intelligence (EI), have both been shown to be protective against professional burnout.

The program draws on contemporary wisdom from positive psychology, leadership, EI, stress and energy management. Eastern and spiritual philosophies and mindfulness have also enriched the program’s development.

Key areas covered in the Professional Resilience™ program include:

• Challenges to professional resilience amongst professionals
• Emotional Intelligence
• Enhancing a Positive Mindset
• Self Leadership
• Mindfulness, Being and Personal Spirituality
• Stress Management
• Energy Management

This personally authentic and entertaining workshop brings practical strategies and a fresh perspective to this vital issue. This workshop has been delivered to hundreds of professioanls, from Darwin to Hobart. Michelle has delivered it as a keynote presentation at a number of conferences through to many full day or two day programs. This program has been provided for allied health professionals, GPs, teachers, administrative staff, IT staff and for commuunity groups such as at the local women's business network.

This workshop provides professionals with a well deserved chance to consider their own needs and their professional sustainability. It will consider the ways in which the above frameworks can guide us to deepen self care, strengthen professional wellbeing and prevent bunrout. Opportunities for self reflection and discussion will complement the presentation, as will the chance for some laughter and humour. Practical strategies will be a significant focus; and the value of bringing a mindful awareness and a shift in mindset will also be explored. This personally authentic and entertaining workshop brings a fresh perspective to this essential issue, inspiring therapists to make a renewed commitment to their own wellbeing and strengthen their resilience. It is implemented in an interactive and lighthearted way. Participants will be encouraged to assess their level of self-care and develop a clearer framework for sustainability. Although the workshop explores the overlap of professional and personal issues, the participants will not be expected to be personally revealing.
